Training on Thursday 28 Feb
today got like 14 people in attendance. who else need wake up call, tell me lei...
started with a drill.
A-----------B
C-----------D
A will pass to B, who will pass back to A in space, who makes a diagonal pass to D, who will lay it just in front for C to do a diagonal run, get the ball, and pass back to A and the cycle repeats. we then switched direction. so now it's B making the diagonal pass to C.
Then we did another drill.
---------------------A
--------------B
------C--------------D
This drill starts from the halfway line. A, B and D are on the left flank. so A pass to B, who pass to D, who pass back to A, who plays it down the line for C to make a diagonal run and cross for A, B and D to finish. then we did a variation. A pass to C (with B making a dummy), who then a) passes to D who can either take it down the line and cross, or play it down the line for overlapping A to cross, or b) play the ball towards the corner flag for A or D to cross.
Then we had a little competition. 2 teams. each team had to score as many goals within 2 minutes. the ball would be sent into the penalty box and a player will finish with one touch. the crosser then becomes the finisher, and the last finisher joins the rest of the crossers. the cross was a grounder into the box. the losing team (team with the fewer goals) would have to run one round in 60s. there were 2 more variations of the competition. the 2nd round involved playing a high ball and finishing without letting the ball bounce. this time, crosser and finisher no need to change place. just decide who you want to be crosser(s)/finisher(s). the 3rd round was a mix of the previous 2 rounds. for the 1st minute, the cross is a grounder into the box. for the 2nd minute, it had to be an aerial ball. again, no restrictions on the crosser(s)/finisher(s).
then we played a game of 2 sides. 7v7, half field. end of training.
